Meatballs weren't made just for spaghetti, and Sticky BBQ Meatballs are all the evidence you'll ever need to believe that claim! This case for independent deliciousness starts with those juicy, savory spheres baked to ensure they're tender and oozing with flavor. The skyscraper of flavor reaches even higher as these yummy meatballs are slow-cooked in a tangy, caramel-y barbecue sauce. The verdict is in! Sticky BBQ Meatballs have been proven guilty of being satisfyingly amazing!
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
In a large bowl, mix the beef, egg, mustard, onion, bread crumbs, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper using your hands or a hand mixer with the dough hook attachment.
Shape the mixed meat mixture into teaspoon-sized balls, ensuring to firmly shape them to avoid them disintegrating in the sauce.
Place the meatballs on a baking sheet.
Bake the meatballs until cooked through and an instant thermometer inserted into the center reads 160 degrees F, about 10-12 minutes.
In a 3- to 4-quart slow cooker, mix together the barbecue sauce, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce mixture.
Cook the meatball mixture on low until thickened and bubbly, about 3-4 hours.
