Ingredients
- 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian herb seasoning
- 1 medium lemon, halved
- thyme or parsley, optional, to taste, chopped, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Step 2 -Grease a large baking pan.
Step 3 -Arrange the salmon fillets on the baking sheet.
Step 4 -Season the salmon with the salt and the pepper.
Step 5 -Juice 1/2 of the lemon; mix the lemon juice with the olive oil, the minced garlic, and the Italian herb seasoning, stirring until well-combined.
Step 6 -Spoon the olive oil mixture over the salmon, rubbing it all over the tops and the sides.
Step 7 -Thinly slice the remaining 1/2 of the lemon, then top each piece of salmon with a lemon slice.
Step 8 -Bake until the salmon is opaque and flaky when pulled apart with a fork, about 12-15 minutes.
Step 9 -Garnish with the thyme and serve.
