Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon canola oil
- 1/2 pound Polish sausage, fully cooked, sliced
- 1 1/2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 small onion, halved and sliced
- 1 celery stalk, sliced
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- rice, cooked, to taste
Directions
Step 1 -Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the canola oil.
Step 2 -Add the sausage to the oil and cook, stirring frequently, until it is lightly browned, about 3-4 minutes.
Step 3 -Add the mushrooms, the bell pepper, the onion, and the celery to the sausage and cook, stirring frequently, until the vegetables are tender, about 3-4 minutes.
Step 4 -Stir the maple syrup and the pepper into the sausage mixture and cook until the maple syrup is heated through.
Step 5 -Serve the sausage mixture with the rice.
