Better yet, Grandmother's Special Pancakes have bursts in the form of bright, tart blueberries cooked right into each circle of pancake fun! These will make you feel like a kid again!

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, plus 2 tablespoons, cold, divided
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
Directions
Step 1 -In a large bowl, add the flour, the sugar, the baking powder, the baking soda, and the salt and whisk to combine.
Step 2 -In a large glass measuring cup or a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, the sour cream, the eggs, and 3 tablespoons of the melted butter.
Step 3 -Pour the wet ingredients mixture into the dry ingredients mixture and stir with a rubber spatula just until moist.
Step 4 -Lightly coat a griddle or a nonstick skillet over medium heat with the remaining cold butter.
Step 5 -In batches, pour 1/4 cup of the batter onto the hot griddle.
Step 6 -Immediately sprinkle the pancake with a generous amount of the blueberries, making sure to reserve enough of the blueberries for the remaining batter.
Step 7 -Cook the pancake until bubbles appear on top and the underside is nicely browned, about 2 minutes.
Step 8 -Flip and cook the pancake on the other side until browned, about 1-2 minutes.
Step 9 -Transfer the cooked pancake to a plate and repeat the cooking process with the remaining batter and the remaining blueberries.
Step 10 -Serve the pancakes immediately with the maple syrup.
