- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound chicken tenders, boneless
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper, plus more, to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup half-and-half
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- salt, to taste
- 1 lemon, sliced
Directions
Step 1 -In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil.
Step 2 -Sprinkle the chicken tenders with the garlic salt and the pepper.
Step 3 -Add the chicken tenders to the oil and pan fry them, turning them frequently, until they are brown on both sides, about 10 minutes.
Step 4 -Transfer the chicken from the skillet to a resting plate and lower the heat of the stovetop.
Step 5 -Add the butter, the green onions, and the garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute.
Step 6 -Sprinkle the flour into the butter mixture and stir for 1 minute.
Step 7 -Add the chicken broth to the flour mixture and cook until it thickens.
Step 8 -Add the half-and-half to the broth mixture and stir until it thickens.
Step 9 -Add the parsley and the lemon juice to the broth mixture and stir until it is incorporated.
Step 10 -Season the broth mixture with the salt and the extra pepper and stir to combine.
Step 11 -Place the cooked chicken tenders back into the skillet and cover them with the sauce.
Step 12 -Serve with the lemon slices.
