Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 cup green peppers, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (12-ounce) package wide egg noodles, cooked
- 2 (10.75-ounce) cans condensed tomato soup
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- green onions, optional, to taste, sliced, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Coat a 3-quart baking dish with cooking spray.
Step 3 -In a large skillet over medium heat, add the beef and cook, while crumbling, until it is no longer pink, about 8-10 minutes.
Step 4 -Drain the excess fat from the skillet.
Step 5 -Transfer the beef from the skillet to a plate.
Step 6 -In the same skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
Step 7 -Add the onions and the green peppers and cook, while stirring, until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Step 8 -Add the cooked beef, the Worcestershire sauce, the cooked noodles, the tomato soup, and the cream of mushroom soup to the onion mixture and stir to combine.
Step 9 -Transfer the beef mixture to the prepared baking dish.
Step 10 -Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the beef mixture.
Step 11 -Bake, uncovered, until heated through, about 15-20 minutes.
Step 12 -Serve garnished with the green onions.
