Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 3 jalapeño peppers, seeded and diced
- 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup bacon, cooked crisp, diced
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2 -Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in a 9×13-inch baking pan.
Step 3 -Sprinkle the chicken breasts evenly with the garlic salt.
Step 4 -Spread the cream cheese evenly over the top of each of the chicken breasts.
Step 5 -Sprinkle the jalapeños pieces evenly over the cream cheese on each of the chicken breasts.
Step 6 -Bake until the chicken breasts are cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, about 30-40 minutes.
Step 7 -Sprinkle the cheddar cheese and the bacon pieces evenly over top of the chicken breasts and bake again until the cheese is melted, about 5 minutes. .
Step 8 -Transfer the chicken breasts from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes.
