Ingredients
- water, to taste
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt, divided, plus more, to taste
- 16 ounces green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, can substitute with butter
- 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
- black pepper, to taste
Directions
Step 1 -Fill a large saucepan with the water and 1 teaspoon of the salt.
Step 2 -Bring the water to a boil.
Step 3 -Add the green beans to the boiling water and cook until bright green, about 4 minutes.
Step 4 -Drain the green beans and rinse them under cold tap water to cool.
Step 5 -Shake off the excess water.
Step 6 -In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the oil.
Step 7 -Add the green beans and the garlic to the hot oil and cook, while tossing or stirring, until the garlic is golden and crispy.
Step 8 -Add the remaining salt and the pepper to the green beans and toss again to combine.
Step 9 -Serve warm.
