Don't worry, just because Easy Cauliflower Gratin sounds like a fancy dish doesn't mean you should avoid it! This dish is perfect for serving when you want to impress, but you don't want to spend hours and hours in the kitchen. It's buttery, cheesy, and brings a little bit of crunchy to your dinner that it was absolutely missing. And hey, it has a tender cauliflower base, making it a relatively healthy side, but no one needs to know that either. So, pinkies up for this Easy Cauliflower Gratin! The simplest fancy dish you'll ever taste!

Ingredients
- 3 slices white sandwich bread, torn into large pieces
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 head cauliflower, cored and cut into small florets
- coarse salt, to taste
- ground pepper, to taste
- 4 ounces Gruyère cheese, grated
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Grease a 2-quart baking dish.
Step 3 -In a food processor, add the bread pieces and the parmesan cheese and pulse until coarse crumbs form, about 3-4 times.
Step 4 -In a large saucepan with a lid over medium heat, melt the butter.
Step 5 -Add the flour to the butter and cook, whisking constantly, for 1 minute.
Step 6 -Whisk the milk into the butter mixture.
Step 7 -Add the cauliflower, the salt, and the pepper to the milk mixture and bring to a boil.
Step 8 -Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover, and cook the cauliflower mixture until the cauliflower is starting to soften, about 5 minutes.
Step 9 -Transfer the cauliflower from the heat and gradually stir in the Gruyère.
Step 10 -Pour the gratin mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with the breadcrumb mixture.
Step 11 -Cover the baking dish with foil and bake the gratin until the cauliflower is easily pierced with a knife, about 20 minutes.
Step 12 -Discard the foil and bake the gratin until the breadcrumbs are golden-brown, about 20 minutes.
Step 13 -Serve.
