Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup almonds, optional, sliced
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Step 2 -Wash the green beans and pat them completely dry.
Step 3 -Trim the stem off each side of the green beans.
Step 4 -Place the green beans on a baking sheet and drizzle them with the olive oil.
Step 5 -Season the green beans with the salt and the pepper and toss them to coat.
Step 6 -Spread the green beans out evenly.
Step 7 -Bake the green beans for 15 minutes.
Step 8 -Add the almonds and toss to coat.
Step 9 -Bake until the almonds are toasted and fragrant and the green beans are bright and tender, about 3-5 minutes.
Step 10 -Serve.
