If you need more convincing, know that Crispy Skillet Salmon is ready in under 15 minutes so you can be eating well even when you're in a hurry! See? Ingredients
- 1 1/2-2 pounds salmon, boneless and skin-on, cut into individual fillets
- sea salt, to taste
- neutral-flavored oil, to taste
Directions
Step 1 -Season the salmon flesh liberally with the sea salt.
Step 2 -Heat a large cast iron skillet or nonstick skillet over high heat and add enough of the oil to generously coat the surface.
Step 3 -Allow the skillet to heat up for a few minutes until it is sizzling hot.
Step 4 -Carefully place the salmon fillets skin-side up on the hot skillet.
Step 5 -Allow the salmon to cook for 6 minutes.
Step 6 -Use a metal spatula to carefully flip the salmon and cook until it is done to at least 145 degrees F, about 4-5 minutes.
Step 7 -Remove the salmon fillets from the skillet using a spatula.
Step 8 -Serve.
