This blissful combo, we call the Better-Than-Delivery Bake, will allow you to stay at home-sweet-home while indulging in all your favorite Italian loves. Ingredients
- 4 cups penne pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound pork sausage
- 4 ounces pepperoni
- 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms, optional
- 1 (2.25-ounce) can sliced olives
- 1 (24-ounce) jar marinara pasta sauce, can substitute homemade
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Step 3 -In a large pot of salted, boiling water, cook the penne pasta to al dente, according to the package directions. Drain the pasta.
Step 4 -In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and the sausage and cook, while crumbling, until the meat mixture is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain the excess grease.
Step 5 -In a large bowl, add the meat mixture, the pepperoni, the bell pepper, the onion, the parmesan cheese, the oregano, the garlic, the mushrooms, and the olives and stir to combine.
Step 6 -Add the cooked penne pasta and the pasta sauce to the meat mixture and toss to combine.
Step 7 -Evenly pour the pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese.
Step 8 -Bake the pasta mixture until the cheese is melted and bubbling, about 25-30 minutes.
Step 9 -Serve.
