Ingredients

  • 3 cups chicken, cooked and chopped
  • 2 cups celery, finely chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (4-ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 1 (10.75-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup almonds, slivered
  • 1 (6-ounce) can crispy fried onions

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 3 -In a large bowl, stir together the chicken, the celery, the cheddar cheese, the sour cream, the mayonnaise, the water chestnuts, the cream of chicken soup, and the almonds.

Step 4 -Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Step 5 -Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes.

Step 6 -Sprinkle the crispy fried onions evenly over the top of the bake.

Step 7 -Bake until bubbly around the edges, about 5 minutes.

Step 8 -Let it stand for 5-10 minutes.

Step 9 -Serve.
