Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup flour
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 8 ounces imitation whipped topping
  • 1 (5.9-ounce) box instant chocolate pudding mix
  • chocolate sprinkles, optional, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -In a metal 9x13-inch baking dish, mix the chopped pecans with melted butter and flour.

Step 3 -Press the nuts down onto the bottom of the baking dish until it feels solid.

Step 4 -Bake until browned, about 10-15 minutes.

Step 5 -Mix the cream cheese with 1/2 of the whipped topping.

Step 6 -In a separate bowl, make the instant pudding according to the package directions for pie filling.

Step 7 -Allow the crust to cool.

Step 8 -Spread the cream cheese mixture over the nut crust.

Step 9 -Spread the pudding over the cream cheese mixture.

Step 10 -Top with the remaining imitation whipped topping.

Step 11 -Garnish with the chocolate sprinkles.

Step 12 -Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Step 13 -Serve cold.
