Ingredients

1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 small green bell pepper, diced
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (16 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons dried basil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 (1 pound) box spaghetti noodles

Directions

Step 1

Combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, and green pepper in a large saucepan over medium heat.

Step 2

Cook and stir until the meat is brown and the vegetables are tender, about 6-8 minutes.

Step 3

Drain the grease from the bottom of the saucepan.

Step 4

Stir the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste into the pan.

Step 5

Season the mixture with oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.

Step 6

Simmer the spaghetti sauce for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Step 7

Cook the spaghetti according to package directions.

Step 8

Combine the sauce and noodles and serve!
