Skillet Lasagna serves up the slow-cooked flavor of a comfort food classic without the fuss or the schedule-eating cooking time! The pasta is tender, the beef is savory, the cheese is cheesy ( of course) and melty, and the tomato sauce is rich and mellow. Skillet Lasagna only takes 20 minutes to make, so you can get that tantalizing Italian taste no matter how busy your schedule!
On the stovetop, bring a pot of salt water to boil.
Cook the pasta to al dente according to package directions.
Drain the pasta and set it aside.
Add the olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion, and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add the beef along with the garlic salt and Italian seasoning.
Cook until no longer pink while breaking up the beef with a wooden spoon, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the cooked pasta, parmesan cheese, ricotta cheese, and tomato sauce to the skillet.
Stir everything to combine.
Top with the mozzarella.
Turn the heat to low.
Cover the skillet and cook until the cheese is completely melted.
