Ingredients
• 1/4 cup butter
• 2/3 cup dark brown sugar
• 3 1/2 tablespoons rum
• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 3 bananas, peeled and sliced lengthwise and crosswise
• 1/4 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
• 1 pint of vanilla ice cream, for serving
Directions
Step 1
In a large, deep skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
Step 2
Stir in the brown sugar, rum, vanilla, and cinnamon.
Step 3
Cook until the mixture begins to bubble.
Step 4
Place the bananas and walnuts in the pan.
Step 5
Cook until the bananas are hot and starting to caramelize, for about 1-2 minutes.
Step 6
Serve immediately over vanilla ice cream.
