Pizza Pot Pie is cooked like a classic pot pie with a buttery, flaky biscuit crust, but instead of a creamy filling, it's a meaty, sweet, and savory tomato sauce with toasty pepperoni. It's all the joy of a fresh-baked pizza, complete with the melty cheese, in comforting pot-pie form. Pizza Pot Pie is an easy way to fulfill your pizza craving without picking up a menu!


1 pound ground beef
1 red bell pepper, finely diced
1/2 cup onion, finely diced
1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce
1/2 cup mini pepperoni
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 (6-ounce) cans refrigerated miniature biscuits or 1 (16-ounce) can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef, red bell pepper, and onion and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.

Step 3

Drain the fat from the skillet.

Step 4

Add the marinara and pepperoni to the skillet, stirring to combine.

Step 5

Pour the mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Step 6

Top the mixture with the mozzarella cheese.

Step 7

Separate the dough.

Step 8

Place the biscuits evenly on top of the cheese.

Step 9

Bake until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through, for about 25-30 minutes. Check the casserole halfway through its baking time; if the biscuits are browning too quickly, cover the dish with foil and continue to bake until the end of its cooking time.

Step 10

Serve hot.
