Ingredients• 1 cup all-purpose flour • 1 teaspoon garlic powder • 1 teaspoon onion powder • 1 teaspoon chili powder • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin • 4 (6 ounce) tilapia fillets • kosher salt, to taste • freshly ground black pepper, to taste • 2 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil, divided
Combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and cumin in a bowl.
Season the tilapia fillets with salt and pepper to your liking.
Place each fillet in the flour mixture and dust off any excess.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat on the stovetop.
Add 1 tablespoon of the oil.
Once the oil is hot, cook 2 of the fillets at a time until the exterior is a golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
Repeat these steps with the other 2 fillets. Serve immediately.
