One Pan Tortellini with Sausage

Tortellini, filled with tangy cheese, draped with savory, meat-filled, creamy sauce sounds like a perfect dinner to us. Keep the clean-up to a minimum and have dinner ready in under 30 minutes? Now it sounds too good to be true. One Pan Tortellini with Sausage is in fact better than it sounds: an herby, luscious, hearty meal that you can whip up without breaking a sweat. 11 ounces Italian sausages, removed from the cases and crumbled
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes, with juices
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 (9 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
2 cups fresh baby spinach, loosely packed
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
parmesan cheese, freshly grated, to taste


Step 1

In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium-high heat on the stove-top, stirring occasionally until it's browned.

Step 2

Drain the fat and leave the sausage in the pan.

Step 3

Add the garlic, chicken broth, diced tomatoes, cream, and tortellini.

Step 4

Cook until the tortellini is cooked and the sauce has reduced to your desired thickness, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 5

Stir in the spinach and cook until wilted.

Step 6

Season with salt and pepper and serve with fresh parmesan sprinkled over top.
