Ingredients
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 2 onions, chopped
• 2 apples, preferably Granny Smith, chopped
• 1 (14-ounce) package kielbasa, sliced
• 1/3 cup brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon paprika
• garlic salt, to taste
• pepper, to taste
• thyme, to taste
• sage, to taste
• parsley, optional, to taste, for garnish
• rice, cooked, optional, for serving
Directions
Step 1
Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Step 2
Add the onions and apples and sauté until slightly caramelized, for about 5-10 minutes.
Step 3
Add the kielbasa, brown sugar, cinnamon, paprika, garlic salt, pepper, thyme, and sage.
Step 4
Cover, reduce the heat to low, and cook until heated through and the brown syrup has melted into a glaze-like consistency, about 10 minutes.
Step 5
Garnish with parsley and serve over rice!
