Honey Schnitzel balances sweet and savory for a simple and delicious main course! The pork is cooked to juicy perfection and then draped in a honey and citrus sauce infused with extra meaty flavor. Served alongside fluffy mashed potatoes and green peas, Honey Schnitzel is hearty, hot, and satisfying after a long day. It only takes 20 minutes to make so you can enjoy it any day of the week!


Ingredients

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon pepper
4 (4-ounce) pork sirloin cutlets
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup honey

Directions

Step 1

Mix the flour, salt, and pepper.

Step 2

Sprinkle the flour mixture on both sides of the pork cutlets.

Step 3

In a large cast-iron or heavy skillet, heat the butter over medium heat on the stove-top.

Step 4

Add the pork and cook until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads 145 degrees F, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Step 5

Transfer the pork from the plate.

Step 6

Add the lemon juice and the honey to the skillet, cooking and stirring over medium heat until thickened, about 3 minutes.

Step 7

Add the pork and heat through.

Step 8

Serve.
