Fruit Pizza

We tend to think of pizza as a dinner or lunch food, but with a slight shift in ingredients you can create a dessert perfect for sharing! Fruit Pizza has the hearty and irresistible crust of a pizza but is topped with a sweet and creamy sauce perfect for accenting the flavor of fruits. 1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
For the topping:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
fresh fruit, of your choice, to taste


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

Cream together the butter and the 3/4 cup of the sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth.

Step 3

Add the egg.

Step 4

In a separate mixing bowl, combine the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.

Step 5

Add the flour mixture to the butter and sugar mixture until just combined, careful not to overmix.

Step 6

Press the dough into an ungreased pizza pan.

Step 7

Bake the crust until golden, about 8-10 minutes.

Step 8

Remove the crust from the oven.

Step 9

While the pizza crust cools, beat the cream cheese, the 1/2 cup of the sugar, and the vanilla together in a large mixing bowl.

Step 10

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly onto the cooled crust.

Step 11

Arrange your favorite fruit on top in a pattern of your choice and allow it to cool in the refrigerator.

Step 12

Serve once cooled.
