French Onion Pork Chops
Time: 40 minutes
Yield: 8 servings
Here's a dinner that fuses home cooking and high cuisine, and your taste buds will celebrate with each mouthful! French Onion Pork Chops combine the savory, cheesy, oniony flavors of french onion soup with juicy pork chops. Topped with the crunch of crispy french fried onions, these pork chops have a tangy-rich creaminess that will leave you scrambling for more. Best of all, French Onion Pork Chops are easy to make and can be on the table in less than an hour. With these on the menu, why would you ever go back to regular pork chops?
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Set the pork chops in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan.
Spread the sour cream dip evenly over the pork chops.
Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top of the sour cream dip.
Spread the french fried onions over the top of the cheese.
Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F until a meat thermometer inserted into the center of the thickest part of the pork reads 145 degrees F, about 35-45 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let the pork rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
If desired, serve with green peas.
