Ingredients
Directions
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Grease or line a baking sheet.
In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm water. The mixture should foam.
Add the oil and sugar, stirring to combine.
Let the mixture rest for about 5 minutes.
Add the egg, salt, and flour, combining until it forms a soft dough.
Flour a work surface.
Knead the dough on a smooth, floured surface until elastic, about 3-5 minutes. You can also knead in a stand mixer with the dough attachment for about 2-3 minutes.
Once done kneading, do not allow the dough to rise. Immediately divide the dough into 12 pieces and shape each piece into individual balls.
On the prepared baking sheet, place the dough balls 3 inches apart.
Cover and let rest for about 10 minutes.
Once the dough has rested, top it with the sesame seeds and place them in the oven to bake until golden, about 8-12 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool on wire racks.
Serve with your favorite burger patty and toppings!
