Ingredients• 1 pound lean ground beef • 1 (25 ounce) jar marinara sauce • 1/2 cup vegetable broth • 6 lasagna noodles, not no-boil • 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese • 1 (8 ounce) package mozzarella cheese, shredded • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, optional, chopped, for garnish • 2 tablespoons parsley, optional, chopped, for garnish
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Spray an 8x12-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
Heat a 12-inch non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the beef, stirring and breaking it up, until cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
Remove the skillet from the heat.
Stir in the marinara sauce and vegetable broth.
Spread 1/3 of the marinara-meat sauce into the bottom of the baking dish.
Top with 3 of the uncooked lasagna noodles.
Spread 1/2 of the ricotta over the noodles by using the back of a spoon.
Top the ricotta evenly with 1/2 of the mozzarella and 1/2 of the parmesan.
Add another 1/3 of the sauce.
Add 3 more uncooked lasagna noodles.
Spread evenly with the remaining 1/2 of the ricotta.
Pour in and spread the last 1/3 of the sauce.
Top with remaining 1/2 of the mozzarella and parmesan.
Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake for about 35 minutes.
Remove foil and continue to bake uncovered until the lasagna is just tender, about 10 minutes.
Let the lasagna rest for 5 minutes before digging in.
Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve.
