Now, who wants a slice?
Ingredients• 5 eggs, plus 1 egg for an optional egg wash • 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped • 1/4 teaspoon salt • 1/4 teaspoon pepper • 1 tablespoon olive oil • 8 slices of bacon, cooked • 1 (8 ounce) can crescent rolls, refrigerated • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Beat together the eggs, red and green bell peppers, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
Over medium heat, heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet.
Scramble the egg mixture in the hot skillet, stirring regularly to avoid burning.
On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, lay out the crescent rolls in a star shape.
Lay a piece of bacon on top of each piece of dough.
Top the bacon with 1/2 of the cheese.
Distribute the scrambled eggs around the ring and top with the remaining cheese.
Fold the dough over and, using a pastry brush, top with the egg wash.
Place in the oven and bake until the crescent dough is cooked and a golden color, about 20 minutes.
