Ingredients
Directions
Let the pork chops sit outside of the fridge and at room temperature for at least 15 minutes.
Season the chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
In a deep skillet, add the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
Let the butter melt in the skillet and then add the pork chops.
Cook the pork until golden, about 3-5 minutes per side.
Transfer the pork to a plate.
Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter and the garlic cloves to the skillet.
Turn the heat down to medium.
Cook, stirring often, until the garlic has browned on the outside, about 3 minutes.
Push the garlic to one side of the skillet and add the flour to the other.
Cook the flour until it is incorporated with the butter, about 30 seconds.
Add the chicken broth and lemon juice, stirring and letting it cook until thickened, about 1 minute.
Add in the garlic powder and cream, stirring or whisking until the garlic powder dissolves.
Return the pork to the skillet and cook until the sauce thickens and the pork is cooked to 145 degrees F.
Taste the sauce and season to taste.
Serve garnished with parsley and with pasta.
