Classic Poppy Seed Chicken combines tender chicken with the crunch of poppy seeds and salty crackers—a winning combination if ever there was one! Ingredients

5 cups chicken breasts, cubed and cooked
1 cup sour cream
2 (10.75-ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
2 cups crackers, crushed
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 tablespoon poppy seeds, optional
2 cups cooked rice, optional, for serving

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

Place the cooked chicken at the bottom of a 9x13-inch casserole dish.

Step 3

In a medium bowl, stir the sour cream and soup together.

Step 4

Pour the soup and cream mixture over the chicken.

Step 5

In a separate bowl, stir the crushed crackers and melted butter.

Step 6

Sprinkle the cracker mixture over the chicken.

Step 7

Top with the poppy seeds.

Step 8

Bake until the top of the casserole is browned and the sauce is bubbly, for about 20-30 minutes.

Step 9

Serve hot over cooked rice!
