Yield: 8 servings
Shake up the season with a centerpiece dish that turkey wishes it could be. Classic Glazed Holiday Ham is not only packed full of flavor, it's also a beautiful addition to your festive feasts! Caramelized to absolute perfection, slathered in sweet brown sugar, honey, and butter, and smoked to delectable juiciness—your friends and family will be more than impressed. Conversations will pause as everyone savors each tender, sweet-and-savory slice.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Then, grease a baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Add the brown sugar, butter, apple cider, honey, nutmeg, and cinnamon to a pot.
Then place the pot over medium heat on the stove-top. Bring to a simmer, cooking until the glaze is syrupy, about 5-7 minutes.
Set the ham in the greased pan, then pour half of the glaze over top of it. Reserve the remaining glaze for future use.
Cover the ham with foil and place in the oven, baking it for 2 1/2 hours. Then, remove the foil and uncover it.
Pour the remaining glaze over the top of the ham. If the glaze has begun to harden, microwave it for a couple of seconds first to liquefy before pouring.
Bring the oven temperature up to 400 degrees F.
Set the ham, uncovered, back in the oven. Bake until the glaze is browned and caramelized, for 15-20 minutes.
Move the ham onto a serving platter, then garnish with cranberries and fresh herbs.
Spoon the pan drippings over the top of the ham. Be sure to let the ham rest for a few minutes to help maintain juiciness.
Carve the ham, then serve.
