The Chocolate Fantasy is like a bedtime story for your tastebuds: the sweet culmination of a great day! A crunchy, buttery pecan gently lifts a cloud of airy cream cheese filling, accenting and elevating the flavors of the creamy, smooth, and rich chocolate pudding. The Chocolate Fantasy is the stuff of dreams and will whisk you back to childhood in just a bite. Other food fantasies simply can't compete with this one!


1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup flour
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
8 ounces imitation whipped topping
1 (5.9-ounce) box instant chocolate pudding mix
chocolate sprinkles, optional, for garnish


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

In a metal 9x13-inch baking dish, mix the chopped pecans with melted butter and flour.

Step 3

Press the nuts down onto the bottom of the baking dish until it feels solid.

Step 4

Bake until browned, about 10-15 minutes.

Step 5

Mix the cream cheese with 1/2 of the whipped topping.

Step 6

In a separate bowl, make the instant pudding according to the package directions for pie filling.

Step 7

Allow the crust to cool.

Step 8

Spread the cream cheese mixture over the nut crust.

Step 9

Spread the pudding over the cream cheese mixture.

Step 10

Top with the remaining imitation whipped topping.

Step 11

Garnish with the chocolate sprinkles.

Step 12

Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Step 13

Serve cold.
