A good salad should be refreshing, energizing, and relaxing. With that in mind, Cherry Waldorf Salad is a capital-G Great Salad! The dressing is smooth, creamy, and sweet, and the salad itself is filled with fresh, crisp apples, dried tart cherries, and crunchy almonds. Cherry Waldorf Salad is a new take on a fruit salad that will get you feeling festive regardless of the occasion!


Ingredients

1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons honey
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 large apples, cubed
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 celery ribs, chopped
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup almonds, slivered and toasted
1 cup fresh or frozen pitted tart cherries, thawed if frozen

Directions

Step 1

Whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, honey, and salt.

Step 2

Toss the apples with lemon juice in a large bowl.

Step 3

Add the celery, cranberries, almonds, and the dressing mixture and toss to combine. Gently stir in the cherries.

Step 4

Refrigerate, covered, for 1 hour.

Step 5

Serve cold.
