The flavors of France are now in your home for a breakfast unlike any other. Cake Au Jambon is in fact a loaf of fluffy eggs filled with sharp cheese and savory ham! Fanciful and filling, Cake Au Jambon starts your morning off on the right foot! It’s perfect for wowing your friends at brunch or for whipping up on a Sunday morning!


Ingredients

1 1/2 cups plain flour
1 1/4 cups cheese, of your choice, grated
2 teaspoons baking powder
2/3 cup butter, melted
6 eggs
1 teaspoon parsley
2 tablespoons mustard
salt, to taste
3/4 cup ham, diced

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

Prepare a 9x5 loaf pan by lining it with parchment paper.

Step 3

Sieve the flour into the bowl of a stand mixer on high speed for 10 seconds.

Step 4

Add in the cheese and baking powder, mixing together on medium speed for 5 seconds. Set aside.

Step 5

In a separate large bowl, add in the melted butter, eggs, parsley, mustard, and salt, and mix with a hand mixer on medium speed for 10 seconds.

Step 6

Add in the flour mixture, mixing for 10 seconds on medium speed.

Step 7

Add the ham, mixing again for 10 seconds on medium speed.

Step 8

Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan.

Step 9

Bake until golden and it bounces back when touched, about 40 minutes.

Step 10

Allow it to cool for 5 minutes, then slice.

Step 11

Serve.
