Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Place the bread pieces onto a baking tray.
Drizzle the bread pieces with the olive oil.
Sprinkle the bread with the garlic powder and salt, mixing it well to evenly coat all of the bread.
Bake the bread until it is golden brown and crispy, about 15-20 minutes. Mix the bread once or twice while they bake to make sure that the bread does not burn.
Let the croutons cool.
Add the lettuce to a large mixing bowl with the salad dressing, mixing it to coat the lettuce evenly with the salad dressing.
Sprinkle the top of the salad with the shaved parmesan cheese and the croutons to serve.
