Beautiful. Bountiful. Brilliant. Beguiling. These are just a few of the words you'll think of when you scoop up a helping of Burrito Bake onto your plate. A buttery, flaky crust of crescent dough stands in for the tortilla, but besides that, everything here is a Tex-Mex favorite: savory taco meat, hearty refried beans, melty sharp cheese, and bright green peppers. You can even top your Burrito Bake with your classic filling favorites for the full flavor effect! Baking your burritos might just become your new favorite way of making them!
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a large skillet, cook and crumble the beef over medium heat until no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes.
Drain the skillet.
Add the beans, onion, and taco seasoning, stirring to combine.
Unroll the crescent roll dough.
Press the dough onto the bottom and up the sides of the prepared baking dish, sealing the seams and perforations.
Spread the beef mixture over the crust.
Sprinkle the beef mixture with the cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
Bake uncovered until golden brown, about 30 minutes.
Sprinkle the bake with your favorite toppings and serve.
