That idea blossomed into Betty's Chicken Crouton Casserole, a dish positively designed to make everyone happy. The croutons, coated in a creamy, savory sauce, still have that gratifying crunch that makes them irresistible. Paired with shredded chicken, Betty's Chicken Crouton Casserole is rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying. You can serve this with a salad if you want some extra croutons!


1 (14.5-ounce) can chicken broth
1 (10.75-ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 (14-ounce) package seasoned stuffing croutons
4 cups chicken, shredded and cooked
fresh parsley, optional, minced


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2

Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Step 3

In a large bowl, combine the broth, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and butter.

Step 4

Stir in the croutons and chicken.

Step 5

Pour the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Step 6

Bake until heated through, about 20-25 minutes. Serve garnished with parsley.
