Best-Ever Lemon Bars

Few things are as sumptuous or sweet as these Best-Ever Lemon Bars. What makes them the best? Best-Ever Lemon Bars are remarkably easy to make and will bring delightful smiles to everyone you share them with!


1 cup butter, softened
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, divided
2 cups white sugar
4 eggs
3 lemons, juiced


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, blend the butter, 2 cups flour, and 1/2 cup sugar.

Step 3

Press the butter mixture into the bottom of an un-greased 9x13-inch pan.

Step 4

Bake until firm and golden, about 15-20 minutes.

Step 5

In another bowl, whisk together the remaining sugar and the remaining flour.

Step 6

Whisk the eggs and lemon juice into the sugar/flour mixture.

Step 7

Pour the lemon juice mixture over the baked crust.

Step 8

Bake for 20 minutes.

Step 9

Transfer the lemon squares from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan; they should firm up.

Step 10

Cut into 2-inch squares and serve.
