Best-Ever Lemon Bars

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
In a medium bowl, blend the butter, 2 cups flour, and 1/2 cup sugar.
Press the butter mixture into the bottom of an un-greased 9x13-inch pan.
Bake until firm and golden, about 15-20 minutes.
In another bowl, whisk together the remaining sugar and the remaining flour.
Whisk the eggs and lemon juice into the sugar/flour mixture.
Pour the lemon juice mixture over the baked crust.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Transfer the lemon squares from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan; they should firm up.
Cut into 2-inch squares and serve.
