Ingredients
• 30 ounces sweetened condensed milk • 14 graham crackers • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream • 1 tablespoon sugar • 3 bananas, sliced • chocolate shaving, for garnishDirections
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Pour the condensed milk into a baking dish.
Cover with foil and set it inside a larger baking dish.
Fill the larger dish with hot water, until it reaches almost all up the sides of the small dish.
Place the condensed milk in the double dishes in the oven and cook for 90 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow time to cool.
Whisk until smooth to make the dulce de leche mixture.
Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F.
Pulse the graham crackers and melted butter into a food processor until it resembles wet sand.
Lightly grease a tart pan.
Create a crust with the cracker mixture by pouring it into the tart pan and pressing down evenly to coat the bottom and up the sides.
Bake the crust until golden, about 5 minutes.
Remove the crust from the oven and allow it to cool.
Spread the dulce de leche in the crust, spreading into an even layer.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Beat the heavy cream in a large bowl until soft peaks form. Add the sugar and continue beating until it holds stiff peaks.
Remove the pie from the fridge and add the sliced bananas before topping with the whipped cream.
Garnish with chocolate shavings and serve!
