Ingredients• 6 ounces spaghetti • 2 tablespoons butter, melted • 2 eggs • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated • 1 cup ricotta cheese • 1 teaspoon dried parsley • 1/2 teaspoon oregano • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil • 1/2 pound ground beef • 1/2 pound mild Italian sausage • 14 ounces tomatoes, diced • 2 cups marinara sauce • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a deep-dish pie plate.
Cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Drain the pasta.
Toss the spaghetti with melted butter, eggs, and parmesan.
Press the spaghetti into the bottom of the prepared pie plate.
In a medium bowl, mix the ricotta, parsley, oregano, and basil until well combined.
Spread the ricotta mixture over the spaghetti in the pie plate.
In a large skillet, sauté the ground beef and Italian sausage until cooked through, breaking it up as it cooks, about 8 minutes.
Drain the grease and add the diced tomatoes and marinara to the skillet. Stir to combine.
Pour the meat sauce over the ricotta layer in the pie plate, spreading it evenly.
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the meat layer.
Bake until the cheese is melted and the sauce is bubbling, for about 20-25 minutes.
Let the pie sit for 10 minutes before serving.
